Hello, thank you for visiting my website. I am Shona and the owner, baker, designer, cleaner and washer upper at Shona’s Little Cakedom. I create bespoke wedding cakes and beautiful cakes for all occasions. I am a homebased baker so visits and consultations are by appointment only.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I think it all started when a friend was chatting about a cake for her daughters birthday and I offered to create something. I have always baked for my own brood and this stems from baking with my mum when growing up. I was then asked by another friend to bake a birthday cake and I thought I really like this as a complete contrast to my normal day job. Shona’s Little Cakedom was born and continues to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What is in a name? I though long and hard about what to call my business, I wanted to include my name so folk knew it was me. I wanted cake involved somewhere to but nothing to specific. I live in the Kingdom of Fife and Cakedom was a play on that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As well as myself there is my very own Mr Cakedom, Duncan. He is my delivery driver, structural engineer, official taster (him and the brood) and sometimes problem solver. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am mum to 3 ever growing boys (4 if you include Mr Cakedom) and previously, until last year, the ‘other’ job that took up some of my time, I was a civil servant with the DWP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I am based in Leven, Fife but Im happy to travel across the central belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
